For over 25+ years, Thurston Lopes has served the Metro Atlanta area. He has a passion for what he does, and works to ensure that all clients receive approachable, responsive representation. Attorney Thurston J. Lopes brings experience, training and an aggressive reputation to achieve successful results for our clients through aggressive negotiation and effective litigation.


Mr. Lopes received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hampton University in 1989, and received a Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall Law School in 1993. He is admitted to the practice of law in all courts in the state of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Personal Injury Attorneys and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.


Professionally, Mr. Lopes has been active with the State Bar of Georgia. He is the three-time past chairman of the YLD Criminal Law Committee, a member of the General Practice and Trial Practice Section, and is a mentor for lawyers entering practice.

Born in New York, Mr. Lopes attended high school in Dallas, Texas. He has also lived in Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. Prior to attending law school, he had the distinction of working in the United States Senate with the Commerce Committee, sub-committee on the consumer, under the direct supervision of the honorable former vice president, Albert R. Gore Jr.


Mr. Lopes has a solid reputation as an experienced litigator who effectively advances the interest of our clients in a thorough, interesting, and enlightening manner. He is also a certified mediator. In the community, he has enjoyed membership with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., for more than 33 years, and volunteers with several charitable organizations and churches throughout the Metro Atlanta area. We represent those accused of criminal acts, DUI, victims of civil rights violations and injury victims in the Metro Atlanta area, including Cobb County, Clayton County, Dekalb County, Douglas County, Fulton County and all points throughout the state of Georgia.
